How do weighted blankets work?
Weighted blankets use Deep Pressure Therapy (DPT), which evenly distributes a gentle weight and pressure on the body to mimic the sensation of being swaddled.

When you’re feeling anxious, your autonomic nervous system (which regulates your bodily functions like heart rate, respiratory rate and digestion) either sends your body into ‘fight or flight’ (stress) or rest mode..
The application of pressure therapy tells it to go into “rest” mode, reducing some of the symptoms of anxiety like quickened heart rate and breathing.
The evenly applied weight stimulates the production of serotonin (happiness hormone), reduces cortisol (stress hormone) and increases melatonin (sleep hormone).

How are Remy's weighted blankets different from other weighted blankets?
Convential weighted blankets come with some serious flaws. They're primarily made from synthetic materials and filled with plastic pellets or glass beads to weigh the material down. These fillers are noisy and are not evenly distributed. Further, these weighted blankets use an inefficient tying system to keep the weighted duvet attached to it's cover (if it even comes with a cover). Because of this tying system the weight lumps in the corners. Trust us, it's extremely annoying!
Unlike these conventional weighted blanket designs, we use zero artificial fillers or plastic pellets to make our weighted blanket, only layer upon layer of our weighted yarn.
Our hand-knit weighted blankets use 100% cotton fabrics to create a breathable weighted blanket, naturally bringing about better sleep and more calm.

What weight should my weighted blanket be?
We recommend to choose a weighted blanket around 8-12% of your body weight. For someone that weights 60 kilograms we recommend our 6 kg weighted blanket. For someone that weighs 80 kilograms, our 8 kg weight blanket is recommended.
Note, the sizes between our two weights vary too. Since the weight comes from nothing but layers and layers of weight, the heavier weighted blanket is larger in size. Our 6 kg option is 120 x 150 cm, where as the 8 kg option is 120 x 180cm

Our office is in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We are a Dutch company with employees throughout Europe. We ship all our items from our warehouse located near Dortmund, Germany. Our sister company is based in the United Kingdom.

What materials do you use in your weighted blankets?
Our hand-knit weighted blankets are made from 100% cotton. We use nothing but layers upon layers of cotton, because of it's breathable properties and natural feel. They are hypoallergenic and Oeko-Tex 100 certified, meaning they're perfectly safe for you and your family (including pets) to cosy under.
What are the care instructions for my Weighted Blanket?
Your Hand-Knit Weighted Blanket is machine washable.
- Wash separately in cold water
- Select either the delicate or permanent-press cycle
- Use only gentle or mild detergent
- Avoid using fabric softener
- Tumble dry on low heat – please note it may take more than one round for your Weighted Blanket to dry completely.
- Never hang it up to dry because it willl stretch!
Are weighted blankets safe for children?
Our weighted blankets are safe for children aged four years and older. Using a weighted blanket for a toddler or a baby poses safety risks, so we do not recommend using our weighted blankets for children under the age of three.

We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, iDeal, Bancontact and all major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Maestro.
Where do you ship?
We ship to a majority of European countries for free. There are only a few countries in Europe we do not ship to at the moment. When you begin the check out process on your order you can see the countries we currently ship to.
Since you are on our European website we only ship to the EU from here.

How do I modify the items in my order?
Since we ship all items on express delivery, we are not able to make any changes to the items in your order once the order has been placed. However, if you have to make an urgent change please contact us and we can see if it's possible.
Can I cancel my order?
At this time, we are not able to cancel your order once the order has been placed. This is because we ship all our orders on express delivery. If you no longer want the items you purchased, please feel free to initiate a return.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
What is your return policy?
We stand behind the quality of our products and are confident it will be love at first night.
If, however, you are unhappy with your order, we will gladly accept returns for items purchased on our site within 30 days of purchase. This applies for all of our products. Please note however the customer is responsible for the returns postage of the product.
If for any reason, your original form of payment is no longer active or able to process the refund, you will receive store credit for the same amount.
Please note that we are not able to process returns for items listed as Final Sale or Clearance. If your Final Sale item has a manufacturing defect please reach out to us so we can find the best solution for you! We will make it clear which items are on Final Sale or Clearance.

From the day we receive your item back in our warehouse it can take 7-10 business days to process the refund. Once the refund is processed it can take 3-4 more business days for the funds to appear back with you (this depends on your bank).
Upon receiving your return our warhouse will inspect it for damages. The items must be undamaged and in the condition they were received. Minor wear and tear is fine as it is normal when trying your products. Your items must be returned in their cover bags. If the cover bag is missing and there is excessive damage our team reserves the right to charge 25% of your purchase price.
What is your exchange policy?
Changed your mind on the colour or size of your weighted blanket? No worries, we want to make sure you love your new item so we offer exchanges on all our products with in 30 days of purchase.
If the new item you are after is more than the originally bought item we will send you an invoice for the difference. If it is less than the original item we will issue a refund for the difference. Please note the customer is responsible for the returns postage.
